- Bike To Work Week!

May 29, 2007

Lets start it . I started the bike to work week with my uncle yesterday. It was not as bad as I thought. It took me ~50 mins to get to work and there were a lot of bikes on the road.

Today was also my first time riding the bike in the middle of the road. Scary but exciting.

I have a totally new feeling after two days bike ride.
I finally understand why people said don't let anyone kick your ass. Because it is so painful....... I can seriously what ass hurts mean now......

- Work - VIATeC Party

May 23, 2007

Another business dinner, this was an award dinner and it is the third business dinner within 7 days. I start to wonder.... I always see the same group of business people. Do they eat out everyday and don't need to eat at home???

- Last Day..... Back To Normal Life Tomorrow

May 22, 2007

Holiday always passed by fast. We got up early today and went to Lavender Garden, visited another winery - Summerhill, walked around downtown.

Back to Vancouver at 7pm and caught the 9pm ferry.

Summary: The trip was fun.

  1. Everyone knows I am alcoholic; I purchased a lot of wine
  2. For some reason, we in total bought >$100 of snack. A lot of junk food.
  3. Total driving was 1300km, over 20 hrs of driving in 4 days

It was a happy trip .

- Kelwona - Wine

May 21, 2007

My major goal at Kelowna was WINERIES. We went to Gray Monk and Missionhill today. They both have great tours and good wine tasting. The Gray Monk tour was really basic.... since it is free. The main purpose for them (I think) was to sell the wine . Missionhill's tour was a lot better. It taught us how to taste wine, the history of Missionhill, how does a grape plant grow and become wine, etc. It cost $17 but it was fun.

Today, we also drove around the city, shopped around, walked around downtown.

- Kamloops / Vernon / Kelowna

May 20, 2007

We first planned to leave town at 7am so we could arrive Kamloops for lunch. But, nah, nah, nah, we didn't get up till 8am. haha.

Then, we started to drive to Kamloops. Since we are sharing our driving responsibility, I didn't feel too bad at all. On our way to Kamloops, we both kept eating our snacks including candies, chips and a box of Sashimi.... (Don't ask why we have a box sashimi in the car; we only ate 'All you can eat sushi' last night) . Once we arrived Kamloops, we were sooo full (about 3.7 hrs driving from Vancouver, we got there around 1pm).

The city separated into many different small towns so it looks really quiet. Today is Sun and long weekend; all the museum, city hall were closed. We were kind of disappointed. However, we still don't understand why the restaurants were closed too? The only restaurant opened was Starbucks and McDonald.... but they both listed to be closed at 6pm... .... We walked around the water then headed to our next city Vernon.

We arrived Vernon not too long after. Not a big city at all but at least we saw people walking around.... After resting for 30 mins, we started our trip again.

On the highway to Kelowna, we saw two cars chasing and people inside were swearing at each other. Then, they stopped on the shoulder road.... and (hopefully) start a fight.. but too bad, we couldn't stop watching them.
We got there at 4pm; not too late. Walked around downtown, had dinner and we were too tired already....... back to hotel for drink and slept.

- Long Kelowna Trip Starts

May 19, 2007

I took the Friday off this weekend because I really needed to relax. Having to work long hours in the past month was not too fun.

My friend and I decided to have a road trip to Kelowna since both of us had never been there before and I was longing to go there. Actually, we did not decide to have the trip till Wed; we didn't book the hotel till Wed.

Today, we left Victoria at around 9:30pm and drive to Nanaimo because my friend had never been Nanaimo before. We walked around the harbor and left the island. We didn't arrive Vancouver till really late. Then, we both agree we should buy some snack on the way to Kelowna so we won't feel too boring

- Business Party

May 17, 2007

The whole company was invited to a business party tonight. Again, still no talking and not outgoing enough. I even said something stupid. .

However, the party was so fun. I didn't get home till 12:30am and I was hungry.

- VCCA

May 16, 2007

Today, I went to my first business dinner. I was kind of nervous before the dinner because I don't know how to talk to people most of the time.

For me, the dinner was... free dinner. My project manager did most of the talking. I am just not that out-going; don't have the bs skill

- Taking Off From Hell

May 07, 2007

Work is finally slowing down. In the past 2 months, I had to work over the weekend and got off at 9 or 10 everyday…. It was really insane. I haven’t had those crazy times since my third year university.

How crazy was it??? Maybe it is normal for some people…. But I worked 100 hrs overtime in 1 month

- Driving In Vancouver

May 04, 2007

People said driving in Vancouver is crazy; yes, it is.

Went for a few hours day trip with a friend and got a chance to drive from Richmond to the ferry. Scary but at least it was safe. It was my first time driving in Vancouver.

Hope I won’t become a crazy driver anytime.
